"Before going to Star Learners I honestly thought that there was no way I'd pass my maths GCSE. In class I wouldn't understand the work because of the fast pace my teacher was going through it, however my tutor teaches it thoroughly and you don't get that awkward feeling you get in class when you have to ask your teacher to explain it again. It's a nice environment where you can enjoy yourself and it doesn't feel like work, but you still learn. Before I started tutoring I was barely getting any marks in tests at school and now I have improved so much that even my maths teacher at school thinks I can pass. If you're stressed about a subject you struggle in and you feel like you're not making any progress at school then you should definitely give Star Learners a try".

I find all the multi sensory resources that you use are excellent at helping S learn in his own way, at his own pace, and still enable him to find learning fun with you.
Class sizes are perfect for encouraging S to copy and learn from others whilst still offering personalised support for his needs. I like the homework that you set, which encourages us as parents to keep supporting S and not see tutoring as an alternative to, but rather an extra tool to support S's learning.

"E loves coming to Spanish on a Saturday morning with Amy. She is always keen to go and has never said she doesn't want to go. During the lockdown learning continued via Zoom which was excellent. Even when there were only two children in the Spanish class it still ran when only one could attend. We have also been impressed with the combined English and Maths sessions E has attended. "O finds maths incredible difficult and since joining Star Learners he is much more willing to ask questions if he doesn't understand, because he is working in a small group. O benefits from Tom's relaxed, patient and 'can do' approach. If he doesn't understand a process Tom will take the time to explain multiple times or find another way to help him understand, which has helped hugely with his confidence. O says everyone is encouraged to join in and have a go and it doesn't matter if you get the answer wrong. Maths with Tom is fun.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Star Learners. Teaching is fantastic, in a safe and secure environment. Clare and Tom are both very welcoming and have a great rapport with my child."
